We’re thrilled to announce that Peak Peers alumni, Alma Sagi-Polley, Rhys Jones and Ben F. Roberts will be hosting a slot on the Local & Vocal Stage at Abergavenny Food Festival at 1.30pm on Saturday 21st September.
They’ve curated a panel discussion involving Young People living and working in Powys and Monmouthshire about food systems in Wales, as well as commissioned a new poem by Taylor Edmonds.
Come and hear what they have to say – their hopes, concerns, and dreams for the future!
The panel will address how young people feel about where their food comes from, how accessible ethically sourcing food is, and changes and hopes for the future. The panel will be made up of young people (aged between 16-30) that have a connection to Food systems in Wales.
The commissioned poem is inspired by the perspectives of young people in Wales and their thoughts on the food system, gathered from a survey created by the Peak Peers Alumni working on the project.

Maent wedi curadu trafodaeth banel gyda Phobl Ifanc sy’n byw ac yn gweithio ym Mhowys a Threfynwy am systemau bwyd yng Nghymru, a cherdd gomisiwn newydd gan Taylor Edmonds.
Dewch i glywed beth sydd ganddyn nhw i’w ddweud – eu gobeithion, eu pryderon a’u breuddwydion ar gyfer y dyfodol!
Bydd y panel yn rhoi sylw i sut mae pobl ifanc yn teimlo am ble mae eu bwyd yn dod, pa mor hygyrch yw dod o hyd i fwyd foesegol, a newidiadau a gobeithion ar gyfer y dyfodol. Bydd y panel yn cynnwys pobl ifanc (rhwng 16-30 oed) sydd â chysylltiad â systemau Bwyd yng Nghymru.
Mae’r gerdd gomisiwn wedi’i hysbrydoli gan safbwyntiau pobl ifanc yng Nghymru a’u barn ar y system fwyd, a gasglwyd o arolwg a grëwyd gan gyn-gyfranogwyr Cyfoedion Peak oedd yn gweithio ar y prosiect.
